How to Give Clean Water
The Problem: 1.1 billion people still don't have access to clean drinking water.
Dirty, diseased water leads to a cycle of poverty, sickness and inability to develop.
The Solution: You get involved and help dig wells, build small dams, put up water tanks and provide clean, safe water for thousands.
Why Give Water?
What if the gift you make today could do more than simply save lives…what if it could change lives? Forever.
Clean water saves lives, but is also changes them. Girls return to school. Women begin small businesses. Men are no longer too sick to work. Fields are watered and food supply becomes more reliable. Health returns and children grow up to be productive members of their community. The cycle of poverty is broken. Lives change.
"When water comes…everything changes." That's what our driver told us as we drove from town to town in Kenya. And we see the change every time a new well brings clean water.
Clean water isn't an end…it's a means.
How this works
You give. Even a small donation makes a huge impact.
We find a project and a proven partner who is doing the kind of water project you want to support (well, filter, Kenya, India, etc).
We send our partners 100% of your donation to carry out actual water project construction.
Then...we show you the results.
Photos, GPS coordinates and reports from the field prove your donation was put to good use.
You can change the world right now. Donate >>
Who We Are
The Water Project, Inc. is a Christian non-profit organization committed to removing obstacles to development throughout the world. We follow the Bible's clear calls to "provide a cup of cold water" and to answer the need of those who say "I am thirsty" (Matt 25).
We work hard to help you help others. Our goal is to make sure your generous gifts are put to the best possible use. We want to see lives changed through hope restored.
Meet Bridget to see what we mean.
