The Water Project - Local Partners

The Africa Brotherhood Church (ABC) is an independent African church with over one million mission members. The headquarters of the ABC is in the rural centre of Machakos in the Eastern Province of Kenya. The denomination's churches are found in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda. The ABC has over 300 primary and secondary schools. The development program is an integral part of the ABC witness.
Development ministries include programming in the following sectors:
- Sustainable agriculture
- Water
- Basic health care
- Teacher professional development
- HIV/AIDS
Some of the development initiatives are supported by the Government of Canada through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

The Nzatani Water Project was 'opened' on May 20th, 2008 with a community celebration.
The Makivenzi Water Project was 'opened' on May 21st, 2008 on the girls school grounds.
